Ireland centre Garry Ringrose is set to miss all three of their home Nations Championship fixtures after the IRFU issued an update on his hamstring injury.
Andy Farrell’s squad have assembled at the IRFU High Performance Centre in Dublin ahead of their opening match against Argentina at the Aviva Stadium on Friday, November 6.
However, Ringrose is unlikely to feature against the Pumas, Fiji or South Africa and will remain with Leinster to continue his rehabilitation.
The centre’s absence would leave Farrell without a key midfield option for all three Dublin matches.
“Garry Ringrose (hamstring) is unlikely to be involved in the forthcoming matches against Argentina, Fiji and South Africa in Dublin and will continue his rehabilitation with Leinster,” the IRFU confirmed.
There was also an update on Jimmy O’Brien, who sustained a concussion at the weekend.
The Leinster back will follow a graduated return, with the aim of resuming full training later this week.
Meanwhile, Sam Prendergast is progressing following his wrist injury and will continue his rehabilitation with the Ireland squad in camp this week.
No replacements are currently scheduled to be called up.
Ireland’s opening clash with Argentina kicks off at 8.10pm on November 6.
