PETERBOROUGH manager Robbie Savage made an unexpected return as a commentator during Bournemouth’s victory over AC Milan on Thursday night.
Savage, 52, took a break from his hectic schedule managing the League One club to engage in his media work once again.
The former Manchester United player was appointed by Posh at the beginning of the month following his departure from Forest Green.
He took over from Luke Williams after his dismissal on September 19 and has secured two victories in his first four matches.
However, he managed to step away from his daily managerial duties to return to the commentary booth for TNT Sports.
He provided commentary as a co-commentator during Bournemouth’s surprising 3-0 win against Ruben Amorim’s Milan squad at the Vitality Stadium.

Nevertheless, this unusual appearance came just two days prior to his Posh team facing newly-promoted Bromley.
Fans expressed confusion over how Savage found the time to step away from his managerial obligations.
One commented on X: “Why is Robbie Savage moonlighting on TNT Sports commentary when he’s the full-time manager of Peterborough United?”
Another added, “What is Robbie Savage doing on Bournemouth Milan commentary?”

A third inquired, “Surprised he is still committed to his media duties.”
A fourth remarked: “Robbie Savage commentating on Bournemouth vs AC Milan, the man never takes a break!”
Another remarked: “One week he’s watching Peterborough, the next week it’s seven-time European Champions AC Milan…”
Savage faced a disappointing 4-1 defeat against Huddersfield Town, leaving his team in 21st place in League One.
Currently, Posh has accumulated two wins, three draws, and six losses this season.
The club parted ways with Williams after a loss to Doncaster Rovers left them winless in five matches.
