For the first time this season, AC Milan owner Cardinale will not follow the team in the league.

Gerry Cardinale has been a regular presence at Milanello and at Sunday matches over the first six matchdays. The AC Milan owner has completely reversed the trend of his first four years in charge, seeking to be more present and involved in the team's affairs. He has yet to attend a Europa League match, however.

Personal reasons forced the head of Red Bird to miss the match against Atalanta, and he remained in the US.
