Iowa State football receiver enters portal as graduate transfer

AMES — College football's spring transfer portal window opened Wednesday and a Cyclone has taken advantage.

Thursday, senior receiver Isaiah Alston announced on social media he's entered the transfer portal. He has one year of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer.

Alston is a 6-foot-4, 205 pound receiver who transferred to ISU before the 2024 season after four years at Army. He caught two passes for 52 yards in 2024, both receptions coming in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. His best statistical season came in 2021 when he caught 22 passes for 449 yards and three touchdowns.

Alston is the first Cyclone to enter the transfer portal in the spring window.
