The South Africa Rugby will face Italy, France and Ireland during the 2026 Nations Championship Northern Hemisphere Series, beginning Nov. 7 in Turin and concluding Nov. 21 in Dublin.

South Africa enters November leading the Southern Hemisphere standings after winning all three of its July Nations Championship matches. The Springboks have 15 championship points, level with New Zealand, but hold first place because of their superior points difference.

Rassie Erasmus' team will play three consecutive away matches before traveling to London for the inaugural Nations Championship Finals Weekend from Nov. 27-29.

With the Southern Hemisphere's top-ranked team advancing to the Grand Final, South Africa's November schedule could determine whether the Springboks compete for the first Nations Championship title.

South Africa Rugby Northern Tour Schedule 2026

The Springboks have three Northern Hemisphere fixtures in November, all counting toward the 2026 Nations Championship.

All kickoff times are listed in U.S. Eastern Standard Time (ET).

  • Friday, Nov. 13: France vs. South Africa — 3:10 p.m. ET — Stade de France, Saint-Denis, France
  • Saturday, Nov. 21: Ireland vs. South Africa — 11:40 a.m. ET — Aviva Stadium, Dublin, Ireland

These matches make up Rounds 4, 5 and 6 of the inaugural Nations Championship.

South Africa will also play a match during Finals Weekend at Allianz Stadium in Twickenham, London. Its opponent, match date and kickoff time will depend on the final Southern Hemisphere standings after Round 6.

Who Does South Africa Play On The 2026 Northern Tour?

South Africa vs. Italy — Nov. 7

South Africa opens its Northern Hemisphere tour against Italy on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Allianz Stadium in Turin.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:40 a.m. ET.

The Springboks enter the fixture leading the Southern Hemisphere standings, while Italy begins November sixth in the Northern Hemisphere table. Italy lost all three of its July Nations Championship matches, falling to Japan, New Zealand and Australia.

Gonzalo Quesada's team will be looking for its first victory of the competition when it hosts the Springboks. South Africa defeated Italy 32-14 during its November 2025 European tour, providing a recent result between the two countries.

For the Springboks, the opener presents an opportunity to maintain their championship advantage before facing France and Ireland in the following two rounds.

South Africa vs. France — Nov. 13

The Springboks travel to Stade de France in Saint-Denis to face France on Friday, Nov. 13.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. ET.

France enters the Northern Hemisphere Series leading its hemisphere standings with 12 points. Fabien Galthié's team began the Nations Championship with a narrow 34-32 loss to New Zealand before defeating Australia 42-26 and Japan 42-15.

France also won the 2026 Six Nations Championship, making the matchup one of the most significant fixtures on South Africa's November schedule.

The Springboks defeated France 32-17 in Paris in November 2025, and the upcoming meeting provides another high-profile test for both teams.

With South Africa leading the Southern Hemisphere and France leading the Northern Hemisphere, the Nov. 13 match could influence the race for places in the Nations Championship Grand Final.

South Africa vs. Ireland — Nov. 21

South Africa concludes the regular season against Ireland on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Kickoff is scheduled for 11:40 a.m. ET.

Ireland enters November fourth in the Northern Hemisphere standings with 10 championship points. Andy Farrell's team won two of its three July matches, defeating Australia 33-31 and Japan 36-20 before losing 40-21 to New Zealand.

Ireland will host Argentina and Fiji before welcoming South Africa for the final regular-season round. The match could have major implications for the Springboks' Finals Weekend position.

If South Africa finishes first in the Southern Hemisphere standings after six rounds, it will advance directly to the Grand Final against the Northern Hemisphere's first-place team. A lower finish would send the Springboks into the corresponding Finals Weekend placement match.

South Africa Rugby Nations Championship Schedule And Results

South Africa completed the July Southern Hemisphere Series with three victories, defeating England, Scotland and Wales.

The Springboks scored 130 points across those three matches while allowing just 49, producing a points difference of plus-81.

That margin gives South Africa a 30-point advantage over New Zealand in the standings tiebreak entering November.

South Africa Rugby July 2026 Results

  • Round 1: South Africa 45, England 21
  • Round 2: South Africa 42, Scotland 28
  • Round 3: South Africa 43, Wales 0

Where Are The Springboks In The 2026 Nations Championship Standings?

South Africa enters the November Northern Hemisphere Series in first place in the Southern Hemisphere standings.

The Springboks and New Zealand both have 15 championship points after three victories, but South Africa holds the tiebreak advantage.

Southern Hemisphere standings:

  • South Africa: 15 points
  • New Zealand: 15 points
  • Australia: 8 points
  • Argentina: 7 points
  • Japan: 4 points
