Everton striker Thierno Barry has revealed more about the work behind his improved performances, with his new YouTube series offering insight into the people helping him develop his game.

Among those featured is a former Orlando Pirates striker coach who has played a role in helping Barry sharpen his finishing and improve his confidence in front of goal.

The French forward has made a promising start to the season, and the series highlights the effort that goes into his preparation away from matchday action. While goals often attract the most attention, a striker’s improvement can also come from dedicated training, technical adjustments and guidance from experienced coaches.

Working with a specialist striker coach can help a forward improve several aspects of his game, including movement inside the penalty area, timing his runs, positioning himself to receive passes and making better decisions when chances arise.

For Barry, this additional work could prove important as he looks to establish himself at Everton and deliver consistent performances in front of goal. The demands of English football require strikers to adapt quickly, compete against strong defenders and take advantage of limited scoring opportunities.

The involvement of a coach with experience at Orlando Pirates also provides an interesting connection between English football and South African football. Pirates supporters may be curious to learn how the former coach’s experience is contributing to Barry’s development.

However, sustained progress will ultimately depend on how effectively Barry transfers the lessons from training into competitive matches. Maintaining confidence and consistency will be crucial as he seeks to become a dependable source of goals for Everton.

The YouTube series gives fans a closer look at the preparation behind his performances, showing that a striker’s development involves more than what happens during a match.

With specialist guidance forming part of his preparation, Barry will hope to continue building on his promising start and establish himself as an increasingly effective forward.
