After Kaizer Chiefs' recent dismal performances, head coach Fernando Da Cruz is apparently feeling the heat. The outcome of the club's next two matches might determine Da Cruz's fate at Naturena.

There are increasing worries about the team's results, which has led some to propose terminating Da Cruz's contract, according to a story published on Friday, October 23, 2026 by Sports With Daily News. Having said that, Kaizer Chiefs have not made a formal announcement on the coach's dismissal.

Fans are paying attentively because they want to see the Soweto giants triumph again as soon as possible. Chiefs, being one of the most followed football teams in South Africa, have a lot of people rooting for them to succeed, therefore they need to keep up the good work and keep pushing for championships.

As he strives to boost performance and rebuild faith in his leadership, Da Cruz is entering a potentially pivotal phase. If his team can win their next two games, it will put some pressure on his position and make him a better candidate to stay on as head coach.

However, if the club's performance continues to disappoint, the technical staff may come under further criticism and the club's administration may face more demands to reevaluate their strategy.

The decision to release Da Cruz would be a major shakeup for Kaizer Chiefs, who are working hard to assemble a championship-caliber team. While a new coach may give the team a new start, it wouldn't be a magic bullet for all of their difficulties.

Until the club issues a formal announcement, fans will have to take rumours about a potential contract termination at its value.

Therefore, Da Cruz may be looking to show that he can turn things around in the next matchups. There is obviously increasing pressure on him to produce good results, but whether he is able to regain the faith of the fans is debatable.
