Former Kaizer Chiefs striker marries club boss

Kingston Nkhatha, a striker for the Kaizer Chiefs, tied the knot with Bridget Mudhosi, president of the Zimbabwean club Kwekwe United, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his life.

After retiring from football, the 40-year-old former Warriors international mostly avoided the spotlight. The happy couple reportedly had a small, intimate white wedding with only immediate relatives and close friends in attendance.

A picture that was posted on Facebook on Monday nite has gone viral. While Mudhosi wears a long-sleeved, floor-length white dress, Nkhatha looks sharp in a tailored black-and-white suit. Their sophisticated look has garnered admirers' heartfelt congratulations.

Many South African football fans would remember Nkhatha from his days donning the iconic gold and black of Kaizer Chiefs. Even though he has left the spotlight, hearing about the wedding has made people long for his playing days.

Since the happy couple has football ties on both sides, this party is very special to them. As a show of support and to remember the former striker's time with Chiefs, fans have taken to social media.

The performances Nkhatha had while playing will be a part of his legacy for many. Where do you think Kingston Nkhatha ranks among the greatest attackers to don the gold and black jersey of Kaizer Chiefs during the PSL era? And what memory of his do you cherish the most?
