Pyramids FC have booked their place in the CAF Champions League group stages after recording a convincing 5-0 aggregate victory over El Merriekh in the qualifying rounds. The Egyptian club, led by South African tactician Rulani Mokwena, produced an impressive performance to secure progression and continue their pursuit of continental glory.

The qualification marks another significant achievement for Mokwena, whose coaching career has attracted considerable attention across African football. The former Mamelodi Sundowns manager has continued to demonstrate his tactical knowledge and ambition since taking charge of Pyramids FC, helping the team establish themselves as a competitive force on the continent.

Pyramids FC displayed their superiority across the two-legged encounter, scoring five goals without conceding. Their impressive aggregate victory underlined the team's attacking strength and defensive organisation, while also highlighting their ability to handle the pressure associated with continental competitions.

The Egyptian side will now turn their attention to the group stages, where they are expected to face stronger opposition. Their qualification provides an opportunity to measure themselves against some of Africa's most established clubs as they seek to progress further and challenge for the prestigious continental title.

The club's recent performances have generated excitement among supporters, particularly given the impressive winning run highlighted in the announcement celebrating their achievement. The statement declared, "12 games. 12 wins. UNPLAYABLE!" The message reflects the confidence surrounding the team and the remarkable consistency they have demonstrated during their campaign.

For Mokwena, this latest accomplishment represents another opportunity to strengthen his reputation beyond South African football. His experience in the Premier Soccer League, particularly during his time with Mamelodi Sundowns, has made him a familiar figure among supporters who continue to follow his coaching journey.

South African football enthusiasts will be watching closely to see whether the coach can maintain Pyramids FC's impressive momentum when the competition becomes more challenging. Success in the group stages could further enhance his standing and demonstrate his ability to compete against the continent's leading teams.

The announcement also reached out directly to South African supporters, asking, "MZANSI, TALK TO US." The question encouraged fans to share their reactions to Mokwena's latest achievement and discuss the team's impressive progress.

With qualification secured, Pyramids FC will aim to build on their strong start, maintain their consistency and establish themselves as genuine contenders for the CAF Champions League crown.
