Orlando Pirates Bring Back Finishing Specialist Morgan Biggs to Sharpen Attack

Orlando Pirates have brought back Irish striker coach Morgan Biggs to work with their attackers as the club looks to improve its finishing and prepare for the challenges ahead this season.

Biggs, who worked with the Buccaneers for three weeks last season, has returned to conduct specialised training sessions focused on positioning, timing and finishing both inside and outside the penalty area.

The decision to bring him back early in the campaign shows the club’s intention to improve its attacking strength as they aim to compete for more trophies. The sessions are expected to help Pirates forwards become more clinical in front of goal and make better use of the chances they create during matches.

During his previous spell with the Soweto giants, Pirates enjoyed a strong scoring run, finding the net 11 times across two games. That attacking performance has remained a talking point among supporters, many of whom will be hoping Biggs can help the team produce similar results again.

His work with the attackers is expected to focus on important details that can make a difference during competitive matches. These include making intelligent movements in the box, choosing the right moment to shoot, finding space between defenders and improving accuracy when presented with scoring opportunities.

For a team competing on multiple fronts, having forwards who can convert chances consistently can be crucial. Pirates will need their attacking players to deliver throughout the season if they are to maintain their ambitions in domestic competitions and on the continental stage.

The return of Biggs has therefore generated excitement among the Buccaneers faithful, who will be eager to see whether the specialist's sessions produce a noticeable improvement in the team's performances.

Pirates supporters will also be watching closely as the team prepares for its upcoming fixtures, including the much-anticipated Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs next weekend. The derby is one of the biggest matches on the South African football calendar, and both sides will be determined to deliver a strong performance.

With Biggs back working with the attackers, Pirates will hope to improve their sharpness in front of goal and turn more of their opportunities into goals.

The big question now is whether the specialist's return will help the Buccaneers rediscover the scoring form they displayed during his previous visit. Pirates fans will certainly be hoping for more goals as the team continues its pursuit of silverware this season.
