The quarter-final draw for the 2026/27 Carling Knockout Cup will take place after Wednesday, 28 October, 2026, match between Stellenbosch FC and Durban City, as declared by the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
The draw will pair the teams into four quarterfinals and decide which teams will play each other at home in the final phases of the event.
Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Kaizer Chiefs are just a few of the notable South African teams who are still in the running for the championship. How well they do in the Round of 16 will decide their fate in the tournament.
Kickoff for Durban City's round-ending match against Stellenbosch FC is set at 19:00 at Chatsworth Stadium. After the match, the focus will go to the quarterfinal draw, where the eight qualifying teams will be revealed along with the possible obstacles they may face.
The PSL has specified that the draw would adhere to a standard procedure with three distinct pots. The teams who took part will be seeded and unseeded based on their rankings in the Betway Premiership from the previous season.
The method calls for a matchup between a seeded team and an unseeded opponent in each quarterfinal round. The pairings and home field advantage for the next matches will be decided by the arrangement.
The quarterfinals will be played by four clubs who have officially confirmed their attendance. Sekhukhune United, Golden Arrows, Siwelele FC, and AmaZulu FC have all advanced beyond the first round of knockout play and will learn their opponents after the other matches are completed.
Who else makes it to the quarterfinals—four more teams or none—will be determined by the Round of 16 matchups. The final tally might set up a number of intriguing matches in the next round, as key players are still vying for a spot.
