MAS Fes Appoint Amine El Karma Within 24 Hours as Mabasa and Titus Get New Coach

Just one day after firing Portuguese coach Rui Almeida, Moroccan champions MAS Fes named Amine El Karma head coach, giving South African forwards Tshegofatso Mabasa and Devin Titus a new boss.

In an effort to further up their play in both local and European tournaments, the club officially appointed El Karma as their new strategist on Thursday, November 5, 2026, and gave him a two-year deal.

After a dismal start to the campaign, Almeida left by mutual accord, and his arrival followed suit. Two wins, two draws, and two losses were the results of the six league matches coached by the Portuguese.

With eight points after six matches, MAS Fes is presently ranked seventh in the Botola Pro. The coaching staff was already feeling the effects of their most recent loss, a 1-0 loss to Wydad de Témara.

El Karma is no stranger to Moroccan football; he won the Throne Cup in 2021–22 with Renaissance Berkane and again in 2024–25 with Olympique de Safi.

Now he must manage a team that is anticipated to contend for domestic titles and make an impression in the CAF Champions League, all while restoring stability at MAS Fes.

Both Mabasa and Titus, who transferred from Stellenbosch FC of South Africa to the Moroccan club before the 2026–27 season, will take great pride in the appointment.

Both Mabasa and Titus will be looking to keep up their goal-scoring and attacking prowess under the new coach.

MAS Fes will also be getting ready to play in Group D of the CAF Champions League, where they will be joined by Pyramids FC, Al Hilal, and Horoya AC.

As soon as El Karma takes over, he must go to work and get the club back on track.
