Head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou said that Oswin Appollis, an offensive midfielder, hasn't played much for the Orlando Pirates this season because the technical team is protecting their "diamond."

Appollis, 25, had an impeccable debut season with the Buccaneers alongside former teammate Relebohile Mofokeng. They won a triple and received many nominations for the PSL end-of-season awards last season.

Appollis is one of our top gamers. Appollis is one of the best players in South Africa. Even though Appollis is excellent, we must keep in mind that he is a human, not a machine.

Appollis had a fantastic season for his first year with the Pirates. He is from Polokwane, where he has experienced many changes, yet he has managed to cope with them all. He had a fantastic season. "He immediately went to the World Cup, and it is not just him; there are a lot of players in Europe and other clubs." He participated in the games. For his country, he gave up all. This man doesn't cheat. We can understand that a player would occasionally feel this fatigue. "I played for six years in a row, helping Morocco qualify for the World Cup. I was finishing up my AFCON qualification. After visiting Europe, I played in the Europa League for six consecutive years. I can understand, you know.

We are protecting our jewel. We have a lot more games, and we know that if we give him this opportunity, he will be essential to us, so we are protecting our diamond.

We shall benefit from this protection we give him. But you'll see Appollis shortly. But I don't want to burn the person I care about.
