TS Galaxy FC chairman Tim Sukazi says the club’s women’s team must use their defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies as a wake-up call, with preparations already underway to rebuild and strengthen the squad ahead of the 2027 Hollywoodbets Super League campaign.

The defeat has prompted renewed reflection within the club, with Sukazi emphasising the importance of identifying weaknesses, addressing shortcomings and putting the necessary structures in place to improve the team’s competitiveness in the upcoming season.

Rather than allowing the disappointing result to derail their ambitions, TS Galaxy Queens are looking to turn the experience into an opportunity for growth as they assess what needs to change to deliver better performances in 2027.

Sukazi’s remarks underline the club’s determination to approach the rebuilding process with a clear plan, focusing on the areas that require attention to ensure the team returns stronger.

Facing a side of Sundowns Ladies’ calibre also provides an important benchmark for TS Galaxy Queens as they evaluate the gap between their current level and the standards required to compete consistently against the league’s leading teams.

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have established themselves as a formidable force in South African women’s football, making encounters against them valuable tests for teams seeking to improve their tactical organisation, squad depth and overall consistency.

For TS Galaxy Queens, the challenge now is to translate the lessons from the defeat into practical improvements, ensuring that the experience contributes to their long-term development rather than becoming a setback without tangible benefits.

The rebuilding process is expected to place renewed attention on the team’s overall performance, with the club looking to identify the changes necessary to compete more effectively when the next campaign begins.

Sukazi’s stance reflects an approach that prioritises honest assessment and preparation, recognising that progress requires clubs to confront their weaknesses and respond decisively.

With the 2027 Hollywoodbets Super League campaign on the horizon, TS Galaxy Queens will be eager to use the coming period to strengthen their foundations and build a squad capable of achieving improved results.

The ultimate objective is clear: to ensure the lessons learned against Sundowns Ladies translate into a more competitive and resilient TS Galaxy Queens side next season.
