Benni McCarthy, a former renowned football player hailing from South Africa, has transitioned into the role of head coach for the Durban-based Amazulu Football Club. Having had a successful career as a striker, playing for esteemed clubs such as FC Porto and Blackburn Rovers, McCarthy most recently served as the head coach for the Cape Town City Football Club in Cape Town.

After spending two years at The Residents, McCarthy faced an unfortunate departure due to his underwhelming performance as a coach. However, this setback did not deter his confidence, and he was able to secure another coaching position just a year later.

The Amazulu Football Club appointed the 43-year-old McCarthy as their coach following Ayanda Dlamini's decision to step down, believing that someone else could better lead the club's senior team.

Since assuming leadership of the Durban-based team, Benni McCarthy has emerged as a strong contender for the title of the Premier Soccer League's top coach. Currently, his team holds the sixth position in the league, positioning them well for potential participation in the MTN cup competition in the upcoming season.
