URC Round 4: Fixtures, Teams and Results as South African Sides Prepare for Action

The United Rugby Championship (URC) returns with an exciting fourth round of fixtures, featuring several important match-ups involving South Africa’s leading rugby franchises and their European rivals.

The fourth round of the 2026/27 campaign takes place on Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24, with teams looking to build momentum early in the season. According to the official URC match centre, all eight matches are scheduled across the two days.

Friday’s programme features three matches, with Cardiff Rugby hosting the Hollywoodbets Sharks at Cardiff Arms Park. Connacht will welcome Zebre Parma to Dexcom Stadium, while Edinburgh Rugby face the 10bet Lions at Hive Stadium.

Saturday brings five more encounters, including three involving South African teams. The Vodacom Bulls host Ulster at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, while the DHL Stormers welcome Scarlets to DHL Stadium in Cape Town.

Benetton will take on Glasgow Warriors in Italy, while Leinster and Munster meet in a highly anticipated Irish derby. The round concludes with a Welsh derby between Ospreys and Dragons RFC.

The South African sides will be keen to make home advantage count. The Bulls will look to deliver a strong performance in Pretoria, while the Stormers will aim to use their home support to overcome Scarlets. The Sharks and Lions, meanwhile, face challenging away assignments on Friday.

The round also provides an opportunity for teams to improve their positions in the early standings and establish consistency as the competition progresses.
