South Africa U15 Team Thrash Anguilla 13-1 as Two Players Score Hat-Tricks at FIFA World Cup

South Africa’s national under-15 team delivered a sensational performance at the 2026 FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival, recording a remarkable 13-1 victory over Anguilla in their third group-stage match in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Sunday.

The young South Africans produced an outstanding attacking display, bouncing back in style to secure an emphatic victory. Their performance demonstrated the team’s attacking quality, determination and ability to create numerous scoring opportunities on the international stage.

Tshiamo Mashishi and Camden Schaper were the standout performers, with both youngsters scoring hat-tricks to lead South Africa’s impressive goal-scoring effort. Their clinical finishing helped the team maintain its dominance throughout the encounter as Anguilla struggled to contain the relentless South African attack.

Lesedi Hlalele and Katlego Mokhabuki also made significant contributions, scoring two goals each to strengthen South Africa’s advantage. Their performances highlighted the depth of attacking talent within the squad and the team’s ability to find goals from different players.

Neo Dhlamini, Bohlale Finger and Keanu Moses completed the list of South African goalscorers, with each player finding the back of the net once. Although Anguilla managed to score a consolation goal, it could do little to prevent a heavy defeat against the dominant South Africans.

The 13-1 result represents a significant confidence boost for the young team as it continues its campaign at the inaugural FIFA U15 Boys World Cup and Festival. The competition provides emerging footballers with valuable international experience and an opportunity to develop their skills against opponents from different countries.

For South Africa, the victory was particularly important as the youngsters sought to respond positively following their previous group-stage setback. The emphatic result demonstrated their determination to recover and compete strongly in the tournament.

The coaching staff will now hope the players can maintain their momentum and build on this impressive performance in their upcoming fixtures. While the attacking display deserves praise, consistency and continued improvement will remain essential.

With Mashishi and Schaper leading the way, South Africa’s youngsters have given supporters plenty of reasons to celebrate as they continue representing the country.
