Former Sundowns and Chiefs Stars Score Again to Put Their Club Ahead

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs midfielders Gaston Sirino and Haashim Domingo continued their impressive scoring runs as Durban City took a 2-0 half-time lead against AS Port Louis 2000 in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The South African side entered the encounter looking to build on its recent performances, and the first-half display put the team in a strong position to advance in the continental competition. With a 5-1 aggregate advantage at the interval, Durban City had established a comfortable cushion over their Mauritian opponents.

Sirino was among the players making an impact, continuing his promising start with Durban City. The Uruguayan attacking midfielder had now scored twice in two matches, highlighting his ability to contribute in the final third. Known for his creativity, close control and vision, Sirino brings valuable experience from his time in South African football.

His previous spell at Mamelodi Sundowns helped establish him as a recognised attacking presence in the Premier Soccer League. His contribution could prove important as Durban City look to make their mark in African football.

Domingo also continued his recent scoring form by finding the net. The former Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns midfielder had registered three goals in three matches, providing another attacking option for his team.

The performances of both players offer Durban City additional quality and experience in midfield. Their goalscoring contributions could be important as the club seeks to progress further in the CAF Confederation Cup.

With a four-goal aggregate advantage at half-time, Durban City were firmly positioned to secure qualification. However, maintaining concentration and managing the remainder of the tie would remain important.

For supporters, Sirino and Domingo's performances provide encouraging signs as Durban City pursue their continental ambitions.

What do you think about Sirino and Domingo's current form? Can the two midfielders help Durban City make a strong impression in the CAF Confederation Cup?
