Kaizer Chiefs' youngsters have sent a strong warning to their DStv Diski Challenge rivals after extending their remarkable winning streak to seven matches with an impressive 3-1 victory over AmaZulu FC on Saturday, 7 November 2026.
The victory further strengthened Amakhosi's position at the top of the reserve league standings, with coach Vela Khumalo's side continuing to demonstrate their quality, attacking strength and determination in the 2026/27 campaign.
Chiefs have now collected maximum points from their opening seven matches, establishing themselves as early favourites in the race for the DStv Diski Challenge title. Their latest performance against AmaZulu once again highlighted the impressive development taking place within the club's youth structures.
The biggest talking point from the encounter was the outstanding performance of teenage striker Neo Bohloko, who scored twice in quick succession to put Chiefs in control.
The 18-year-old opened the scoring in the 12th minute after receiving a pass from Steven Mendes. Just a minute later, Bohloko struck again to complete his brace and give Amakhosi a comfortable 2-0 advantage.
His latest contribution took his league tally to eight goals in seven appearances, further strengthening his reputation as one of the exciting young attacking talents to watch.
AmaZulu managed to reduce the deficit in the 54th minute, briefly threatening to make the contest uncomfortable for the visitors. However, Chiefs remained composed and continued pushing forward in search of another goal.
Their persistence was rewarded in the 82nd minute when Kamohelo Malefo scored the third goal following another excellent assist from Mendes, who finished the match with two assists.
The victory means Chiefs have now scored 22 goals and conceded just six in seven matches, giving them an impressive goal difference of plus 16.
They also moved seven points clear of second-placed Sekhukhune United, although their closest challengers still have a match in hand.
With Bohloko leading the scoring charts and other youngsters making important contributions, Chiefs' development programme is delivering encouraging results. The challenge for Khumalo's team will now be maintaining their outstanding consistency as they pursue another major achievement.
