Rising Ruimsig boxer Calvin Taljaart delivered an impressive third-round knockout victory over Martin Rocky Madava at Emperors Palace on September 24, marking the second win of his professional career.

Entering the contest focused on composure and tactical execution, Taljaart used his jab to control the tempo and study his opponent.

“The match was very interesting. I was very cautious and just working on my jab,” Taljaart said.

His patience paid off in the third round, where he found an opening to stop Madava and wrap up the decisive victory.

Reflecting on the fight, Taljaart emphasized that the win highlighted the necessity of rigorous preparation for young fighters building their careers. His message to aspiring boxers remains straightforward: remain dedicated to the process.

“Just put in the work as much as you can, because hard work will always pay off,” he said.

With two professional victories now under his belt, Taljaart is returning to training to prepare for his next fight, confident that his consistent work ethic will continue to yield results.
