Manchester United’s trip to Leeds United and Arsenal’s visit to Nottingham Forest headline Sunday’s Premier League action, with four fixtures offering important tests for teams chasing momentum and valuable points.

Leeds United vs Manchester United — 3pm

Manchester United travel to Elland Road under pressure to deliver a response after a difficult run of results. Michael Carrick’s side need to rediscover consistency, with the intensity of the rivalry adding further significance to the encounter.

Leeds will look to exploit any uncertainty in the visitors’ game and use their home support to unsettle United. Their previous victory over United will provide confidence as they seek another statement result.

United have injury concerns, with Benjamin Sesko and Patrick Dorgu unavailable, while Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw remain fitness doubts. Lisandro Martinez is available for selection, with the defender at the centre of a storm following his scathing criticism of the club's hierarchy – specifically technical director Jason Wilcox – after a 2–0 Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid in the week.

For United, restoring defensive stability and finding greater fluency in attack will be priorities. Leeds, meanwhile, will see the fixture as an opportunity to capitalise on their opponents’ struggles.

Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal — 5.30pm

Arsenal travel to the City Ground looking to maintain their challenge near the top of the table, but Nottingham Forest have shown they can make life difficult for the visitors on home soil.

Mikel Arteta’s side arrive after a 3-0 Champions League victory over Lille. However, Arsenal have failed to score on their last two visits to Forest, with both matches ending in goalless draws.

Martin Zubimendi could return after an injury, although Piero Hincapié is expected to remain sidelined. Arsenal will need patience and precision to break down Forest’s resistance.

Forest will aim to frustrate the visitors and exploit any defensive lapses. Arsenal know that dropping points could prove costly in a competitive title race.

Bournemouth vs Sunderland — 3pm

Bournemouth host Sunderland at the Vitality Stadium, with both sides looking to build momentum and strengthen their league campaigns.

The hosts will be keen to make home advantage count, although injuries have disrupted their preparations. Alex Scott, Julian Araujo, Veljko Milosavljevic and Eli Junior Kroupi are among those listed as unavailable.

Sunderland are without Dan Ballard, Thomas Meunier and Romaine Mundle, while Wilson Isidor is doubtful. They will need to remain disciplined against a Bournemouth side eager to impose itself at home.

Brighton vs Crystal Palace — 3pm

The M23 derby brings together two rivals with plenty at stake. Brighton head into the contest in confident form after a strong run of results, including a 3-0 victory over Arsenal before the international break and a 4-0 European win over Kauno Zalgiris.

Fabian Hürzeler’s side will look to use their attacking momentum and home advantage to strengthen their league position.

Crystal Palace will be determined to respond after their unbeaten European run ended in defeat to Lyon. Their 3-1 league win over Nottingham Forest offers encouragement, but Brighton pose a difficult challenge.

Palace will aim to disrupt Brighton’s rhythm in a derby where form can count for little once the action begins.
