Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has dismissed reports of unrest within the team’s dressing room, insisting that relations between him and his players remain positive.
Several reports emerged last week suggesting that Carrick had lost the confidence of members of his squad, with claims that some players were deliberately working against the 45-year-old at Old Trafford.
The speculation comes amid United’s difficult run of form, with the Red Devils going nine consecutive matches without a victory.
Manchester United are now preparing to host Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday, as pressure continues to mount on Carrick.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, the United boss maintained that the team’s disappointing results have not affected his approach or confidence.
“Bad results have not changed my mindset. The dressing room is in a good place. Perception is a funny thing; you can make things look different ways.
“The commitment from the players, to the club and each other, I don’t question that at all.”
