Royce Keys is taking WWE by storm as the leader of the 946 stable, and now a playable character in the WWE 2K26 video game.
In a recent interview with Bleacher Report, Keys touched on several subjects, including being part of Ringside Pass Season 6, which is a DLC pack that makes him, Earthquake, Typhoon and Octagon Jr. usable in WWE 2K26.
Keys made his WWE debut as part of the men's Royal Rumble match back in January, and now he is a featured part of the product with his 946 group embroiled in a heated feud with The Bloodline.
Because of that, Keys' entry into WWE 2K26 comes at the perfect time, and it is something that is quite meaningful to the veteran Superstar.
"It's a great accomplishment because I think I've played almost every WWE video game, and I've always created myself," Keys said. "And now I don't have to do all the hard work of finding all the right moves, but it's definitely a very high accomplishment for me."
It turns out that Keys has been playing wrestling video games for much of his life, which makes being part of WWE 2K26 hit even closer to home for him.
"I got kids, so I play all the current stuff," Keys said. "In the past, I think one of my favorite ones that I was obsessed with as a kid was the Royal Rumble for Super Nintendo. And then another one was No Mercy. Then I got into the SmackDown vs. Raw games and the 2K. I even got some emulated games, the old WrestleFest game. I love them all."
WWE fans are undoubtedly itching for the chance to play as Keys in WWE 2K26 given how significant a part of WWE programming he has been in recent weeks and months.
On the Aug. 24 episode of Raw, Keys debuted the 946 stable with Bronco Nima and Lucien Price helping him attack The Usos, Solo Sikoa and LA Knight.
In the following weeks, Keys added Jaida Parker and Carmelo Hayes to the group, making them an even bigger threat to The Bloodline in the process.
Keys divulged that he was familiar with every member of 946 before bringing them into the stable, saying, "I knew everybody before we actually all got together. So, 946 is us. We've taken parts of how we grew up and where we're from and put them together, so it's something that's authentic and real."
He also stressed the importance of every member playing their part and contributing something unique, which is why Hayes and Parker were fitting choices to align with 946.
"We each bring something different," Keys said. "Melo's a little pit bull. When I take that leash off him, it's dangerous. And Jaida, she hits harder than some of the dudes. I always say it's like a pot of gumbo. You've got all these different flavors and mixtures in it, so it's gonna be hard for our opponents to adapt to it."
Hayes surprised the WWE Universe during the Oct. 12 edition of Raw when he joined 946 by attacking The Bloodline with a crowbar.
Just a couple of weeks before that, Parker became part of 946 when she shockingly hit Jacob Fatu with her vehicle, which was reminiscent of Rikishi doing the same to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin back in 1999.
Keys suggested that 946 accomplished its goal with the jaw-dropping stunt, saying, "It was shock value. Nothing has been seen like that since what? Stone Cold got hit by the car. Everything is calculated. All the i's are dotted and all the t's are crossed."
Because of that moment and others, such as lighting The Bloodline's vehicle on fire, many of the things 946 has done have been compared to segments that were commonplace during WWE's Attitude Era of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Keys noted that although 946 isn't necessarily trying to bring back the Attitude Era, there has been a concerted effort to keep the audience guessing.
"There's never gonna be another Attitude Era," Keys said. "It doesn't make sense to recreate it. I just think that it's a whole new audience now, and you gotta keep everybody on their toes."
Whether the group is providing shocking moments backstage or wrestling in Raw main events, 946 has been one of the most heavily featured acts in WWE for quite some time, which speaks to how Keys and Co. are viewed by WWE officials.
"Those are prime-time spots," Keys said. "So, for us to be in those spots consistently, week after week, it means something. It's not by mistake."
Given where the 946 vs. The Bloodline rivalry is taking place on the WWE calendar, there has been a great deal of speculation among fans about the factions clashing in a WarGames match at Survivor Series on Nov. 28.
While Keys neither confirmed nor denied that a WarGames match is in the works, he made it clear that he and the rest of 946 have significant interest.
"It's something we would love to be a part of," Keys said. "If we are in it, just expect the unexpected, and just take what we've done now and multiply it by a hundred."
As for a potential World Heavyweight Championship match against Bloodline leader and Tribal Chief Roman Reigns coming out of Survivor Series, Keys said, "I'm after the grand prize. Nobody's safe."
Those who want a preview of a possible 946 vs. Bloodline WarGames match or Keys vs. Reigns singles match can make it happen with the WWE 2K26 Ringside Pass Season 6, which officially dropped Wednesday.
