Gill Clark Gill Clark is the site manager of Barca Blaugranes and joined in 2017. She has worked in sports media as a writer and editor for the best part of two decades and has been in love with the beautiful game for as long as she can remember.

Anthony Gordon admitted he wasn’t at his best on Tuesday night as Barcelona slumped to a 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The winger started the game but struggled to make much impact as an attacking force and was beaten by Lucas Hernandez for PSG’s second goal.

Speaking afterwards, Gordon told TNT Sports he can do much better: “Ultimately, I didn’t think my performance was great tonight.

“I’ve got a lot of individual work to do because on these nights, I really want to perform and I don’t think tonight I was at my best.

“I think they deserved it in the end. I feel like they were the better team. They had better moments with more quality and I feel like athletically they were able to sustain the pressure, the intensity for longer than we were.”

Gordon also spoke about the intensity of the game and how Barca need to find a way to improve so they can match PSG going forward.

“They’re the best team in the world and have been for two years. We’re also a top team and we’ve had a great start,” he told CBS Sports.

“It knocks us down a step but that’s a good thing because it gives us that drive back again that we need to beat them, we need to become the team to beat.

“It’s exactly how it looks. It’s chaotic. I was so tired in the first 10 minutes and got more and more tired as the game went on. But it’s a great game, I prefer to play this style because I know it’s exciting, there’s more chances, it’s a better game to watch but yes I’m extremely tired now.

“Life in Barcelona has been great. I’ve had a good start. But I’m nowhere near where I want to be, I can do so much more. People haven’t seen anyway near the best of me and it’s up to me to show them.”
