Botswana have announced their squad for next month’s decisive two-match meeting with Uganda in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Zebras will enter the fixtures hoping to strengthen their prospects of reaching the finals after making an encouraging start to their qualifying campaign.

They will face the Uganda Cranes in two important matches, with Botswana relying on a united and determined group as they try to gain the advantage in the contest.

The squad includes three goalkeepers: Goitseone Phoko, Thabo Motswagole and Victor James.

The defensive options are Mosha Gaolaolwe, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Tebogo Kopelang, Botsile Sakana, Alford Velaphi, Benson Mangolo, Chicco Molefe and Thato Mosweunyane.

In midfield, Botswana have selected Godiraone Modingwane, Lebogang Ditsile, Olebogeng Ramotse, Gape Mohutsiwa, Gilbert Baruti, Omphile Ramoagi and Mothusi Cooper.

The forwards named are Losika Ratshukudu, Tumisang Orebonye, Thatayaone Kgamanyane, Thero Setsile, Thabo Maponda, Godfrey Tauyatswala, Odirile Lekoba and Kabelo Seakanyeng.

The back-to-back fixtures against Uganda represent a significant stage of Botswana’s campaign, with the side seeking to build on its positive opening results and improve its position in the group.
