Kayserispor defeats Muğlaspor 6-0 in Trendyol 1. Lig

Kayserispor claimed a commanding 6-0 victory against Muğlaspor at the Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kadir Has Stadium during the 13th week of the Trendyol 1. Lig, Fanatik reported. The win breaks a two-match winless run for the home side, lifting their points total to 30 and keeping them firmly in the race at the top of the table, while Muğlaspor remains frozen on 18 points.

Early Breakthrough Sets the Tone at Kadir Has Stadium

The hosts wasted little time asserting dominance on the pitch. In the 6th minute, Seferi slipped behind the visitors’ defensive line during a rapid counterattack and squared a pass to Camara, who slotted the ball into an empty net from the right side of the box to make it 1-0. Muğlaspor attempted an immediate response in the 13th minute when Sissoko beat the offside trap to go one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but Kayserispor shot-stopper Gökhan Değirmenci parried his low, angled effort.

Moreno Strikes Twice Before Halftime to Extend the Lead

Kayserispor capitalized on defensive lapses to double and triple their advantage before the interval. In the 39th minute, Görkem Sağlam collected possession in midfield and threaded a pass behind the backline for Moreno. The Colombian forward gathered the ball inside the area and beat goalkeeper Ekrem Kılıçarslan despite a late defensive touch. Just one minute later, following a short backpass from Muğlaspor’s restart, Moreno intercepted the ball and scored his second and his team’s third goal just as the stadium public address system announced his previous strike, sending the home side into the locker room with a comfortable 3-0 cushion.

Second-Half Dominance Caps a Six-Goal Margin

The onslaught continued after the break. Seferi drove down the left flank in the 64th minute and picked out Moreno on the opposite wing. Moreno eluded a defender with a clever trick before firing a cross-shot with his right foot that deflected off Muğlaspor defender Oğuzhan Matur and into his own net for 4-0. Following an unsuccessful chance by Oğulcan Çağlayan in the 78th minute—denied by the visiting goalkeeper—Seferi found the scoresheet himself in the 79th minute by driving a powerful strike from just outside the penalty arc following a corner kick. Substitute Hasani capped the scoring in the 88th minute, slipping behind the defense to finish with his left foot while falling to the turf inside the box to finalize the 6-0 scoreline.

Muğlaspor Manager Laments a Disastrous Night

Muğlaspor manager Yalçın Koşukavak did not mince words following the final whistle, describing the performance as a severe disappointment for his squad. “Zor bir deplasmana geldik. Bu skor bize yakışmadı,” Koşukavak told İhlas Haber Ajansı after the match, noting that the heavy defeat did not reflect the discipline his team typically displays. “Geçen hafta 5-0 kazanıp, bu haftada 6-0 kaybediyorsunuz. Ancak bu maçtan öğreneceğimiz çok şey var. Çok erken geriye düştük. Oyuna girmeye çalışırken çok bariz hatalar yaptık.” The manager added that early concessions derailed their tactical plans and credited Kayserispor for their clinical execution.

Next Fixtures and Standings Implications

With the three points secured, Kayserispor moves to 30 points in the Trendyol 1. Lig standings, maintaining heavy pressure on the division leaders. Meanwhile, Muğlaspor stays anchored at 18 points, looking to regroup in their upcoming training sessions and league fixtures. Habertürk noted that prior to this round, Kayserispor had built their strong league position through eight wins, three draws, and just one loss across their opening 12 matches under technical direction.
