Former WWE talent Ryback has picked up somewhat of a controversial reputation following his exit from the promotion, at least in part due to his aggressive social media rants. Back in 2016, Ryback and Kalisto feuded for the WWE United States Championship, showcasing a "David and Goliath" dynamic. Looking back, Kalisto claims Ryback was great to work with. 

"Oh, my God, man, he was nothing but a sweetheart," Kalisto stated during an interview with "TMZ Sports." "I do get asked that a lot, too, and I always say, 'Man, he was like the best human being on earth with me.' He was awesome, he took care of me, I took care of him."

"At the time he went on his way, he was frustrated with his own career, I believe, and how things were going," Kalisto added. He then claimed that Ryback was the one who wanted to work with him and assured him that he'd take all the heat to put him over in their feud. "Man, we just clicked. When we got in the ring? We just clicked! ... When we started working with each other, man, just things started flowing."

Kalisto went as far as to say that Ryback was one of his favorites to work with in WWE, harkening back to their big vs. small dynamic, and pointing out that they hit each other hard in a satisfying way that wrestlers want the contact to be in wrestling. "I loved working with him," Kalisto said. "I wish I can work him again.
