Lamine Yamal is fit, included in FC Barcelona’s travelling squad, and widely expected to start when the Blaugrana take on Real Betis at the Estadio de La Cartuja on Saturday evening. The 19-year-old winger showed no physical limitations during Barcelona's midweek European fixture and remains a cornerstone of the attack as the league leaders look to extend their domestic momentum.  Lamine Yamal Eclipses Kylian Mbappe To Become Youngest to 25 UEFA Champions League Goals.

Will Lamine Yamal Play?

Any lingering questions over Yamal’s physical readiness were answered during Barcelona’s 4–1 away triumph against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. Yamal completed the full 90 minutes in Istanbul, registering two assists and three shots in an authoritative performance down the flank.

Barcelona's medical department reported no physical setbacks following that trip, allowing the technical staff to select the forward for Saturday's La Liga Matchday 9 contest in Seville without restriction.

Role and Team Selection

Yamal is slated to feature on the right side of Barcelona’s attacking trident. While fellow wingers Raphinha and Frenkie de Jong have resumed team training and earned spots on the substitutes' bench following recent injury layoffs, neither is expected to be rushed straight into the starting XI.

With major domestic and European fixtures looming later in the month—including clashes against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid—Yamal’s sharpness is expected to anchor the forward line alongside Karim Adeyemi and Gabriel Jesus. Vinicius Red Card: Real Madrid Star Issues Apology To Teammates and Fans; El Clasico Status in Doubt.

Context: The Opponents and Title Race

Real Betis host the encounter at the Estadio de La Cartuja dealing with their own squad constraints, notably missing Junior Firpo and Aitor Ruibal through muscle issues.

Barcelona, meanwhile, enter the fixture in commanding form, having won their opening eight league fixtures with dominant scoring returns against Valencia, Rayo Vallecano, and Getafe. Securing three points in Seville would solidify their position at the top of the table before next weekend's El Clásico.
