England captain Harry Kane and Spanish midfielder Alexia Putellas emerged as the biggest winners at the 2026 Ballon d'Or awards, held at the London Palladium on Monday night.
Kane claimed the Men's Ballon d'Or following an impressive season with Bayern Munich and England, becoming the first Englishman to win the prestigious award since Michael Owen in 2001.
The 33-year-old striker also received the Gerd Muller Trophy for the best men's striker, completing a memorable night with two individual honours.
In the women's category, Putellas secured her third Ballon d'Or, adding to her previous victories in 2021 and 2022.
The Spanish international was recognised for her performances with Barcelona before her move to London City Lionesses.
Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal won the Men's Kopa Trophy for the third consecutive year, while fellow Spanish international Vicky Lopez retained the Women's Kopa Trophy.
Spain also enjoyed success in the coaching and goalkeeping categories, with national team manager Luis de la Fuente winning the Men's Johan Cruyff Trophy and Barcelona women's coach Pere Romeu claiming the women's award.
Athletic Club goalkeeper Unai Simon received the Men's Yashin Trophy, while Barcelona's Cata Coll won the women's equivalent.
Arsenal and England winger Bukayo Saka was honoured with the Socrates Award for his humanitarian and charitable work.
Paris Saint-Germain were named Men's Club of the Year, while Barcelona Femeni claimed the women's award.
