Iconic rugby ground makes historic return as people of Swansea defy Storm Boelo

St Helen's breathes fire on the Ospreys' return home

The Ospreys marked their long-awaited return to a redeveloped St Helen’s in historic fashion, as Swansea welcomed back its rugby team for a memorable night.

A sell-out crowd of 5,592 watched the Ospreys claim a convincing 31-14 victory over the Dragons, overcoming wild weather conditions brought by Storm Boelo to make the occasion even more special.

It has been a long road back to St Helen’s for the Ospreys, with plenty of twists and turns along the way. But the wait is finally over, with the club back on home soil for a new chapter in its history.

Here are some of the best photos from the historic first match at the redeveloped St Helen’s.
