'Standing ovation' - Sheffield Wednesday player ratings from thumping win against AFC Wimbledon

Our marks out of 10...

Given his first league start after Lumley missed out with a rib injury. Showed good handling to make Sessegnon's dangerous cross stick at 0-0. Had he spilled it, there could have been trouble. Other than that, it was an easy afternoon for him.

Sheffield Wednesday climbed back into the play-off positions in League One with a 5-0 thumping win against AFC Wimbledon.

Three goals in seven minutes before half-time from Barry Bannan, Davis Keillor-Dunn and Harry Gray put The Owls in control at Hillsborough.

Callum Slattery volleyed a fourth goal just before the hour-mark and star man Keillor-Dunn, who also got an assist, grabbed his second and a fifth for the dominant hosts late on.

Wednesday, who are now unbeaten in nine in all competitions, jump back into the play-offs ahead of Tuesday night’s trip to Notts County.

Here are our player ratings from the game...

Wednesday's best player. Two goals and one assist. Created the first for Bannan. Scored the second when he ran through from halfway and buried it. Grabbed his second for 5-0 when he rolled the ball across Bursik into the far corner. Linked the play and was sharp. The Owls look a much better side with him in it.

Excellent. Comfortable in his defensive work. Smart in possession. A lively attacking outlet down the left once again, assisting the fourth with a wonderful cross for Slattery. A strong performance.

Not at his free-flowing best but he scored the opener after a bright one-two with Keillor-Dunn. His low, deflected strike then found the bottom corner. Legs rested on the hour.

Earned himself a start after playing a part in last week's comeback. Had some neat moments and others where he could have been tighter in possession. Kept things ticking. Offered legs and a youthful energy. Booked.

His best performance since the early part of the season. Tucked inside off the right flank. Saw lots of the ball. Got about the pitch and netted the fourth when he arrived in the box to calmly volley home James' great cross. Continued to be a menace after that.
