Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United monitoring Bayern Munich teenager Lennart Karl

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are considering 2027 moves for Bayern Munich forward Lennart Karl, according to reports.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the club’s major prospects in Bavaria, but competition for places in Bayern Munich’s star-studded attack has restricted his opportunities in the first team.

That situation could increase the possibility of Karl leaving the Allianz Arena, with club sources reportedly concerned about the prospect of losing him.

TEAMtalk reports that the teenager previously rejected a move to the Premier League this summer. Instead, Karl agreed to renew his contract with Bayern Munich and committed his future to the club until 2029.

Despite that agreement, the possibility of interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United remains, with the three Premier League clubs understood to be considering transfer moves in 2027.

Karl has also come under scrutiny over his attitude after recent appearances for Bayern Munich, with honorary president Uli Hoeness criticising the youngster following opportunities given to him by manager Vincent Kompany.

Hoeness said: “I'm planning to have a serious talk with Lennart Karl. He's FAR from being a superstar.

“Young players need humility. Comparisons to Olise are not doing him any good; there's still a world of difference between them.”
