Jon Moxley retains the AEW Continental Championship.

The Continental Champion Jon Moxley defended his belt against Mark Davis of The Don Callis Family at AEW WrestleDream. Both wrestlers shared the ring many times in the past few weeks. On the October 14 edition of AEW Dynamite, the Don Callis Family (Jake Doyle, Mark Davis and Wardlow) defeated Death Riders (Daniel Garcia, Gabe Kidd and Moxley).

Early on in the bout, Mox’s head got busted open. Davis targeted the wounded area throughout the match, even biting the area at one point.

Later, Davis hit a piledriver on the apron, which took out Moxley for a bit. Shortly after, the referee started counting, but Moxley managed to get into the ring on the ninth count. As soon as he entered, Davis delivered a kick to his head, and Moxley was out of the ring again.

The referee started counting again, and it seemed that Moxley was going to sit it out. That was until Marina Shafir and Daniel Garcia showed up to give a pep talk. The champion powered through and got back in the ring.

Towards the end, Moxley paid tribute to Pac by using The Brutalizer on Davis. He later changed his grip and applied a rear naked choke on Davis, which eventually took him out and led to a victory for the Continental Champion.
