Warriors forward Tawanda Maswanhise was on target for Motherwell on Wednesday night in a match that ended in a 2-2 draw against St Johnstone in the Scottish top-flight league.
Maswanhise scored in the 54th minute to make it 2-1 before St Johnstone equalised in the 91st minute to make it 2-2.
The Zimbabwean international continues to play a key role for Motherwell FC after being voted the club’s Player of the Season last term.
Wednesday’s goal was Maswanhise’s second of the season, following his first in the UEFA Conference League.
Meanwhile, Warriors prospect Trey Nyoni was named Player of the Match after Liverpool edged Chelsea 6-5 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in their Carabao Cup fourth-round encounter.
The 19-year-old midfielder delivered an impressive performance, completing 65 of his 76 passes and making two tackles and four interceptions as Liverpool progressed to the next round.
Nyoni is continuing to develop under Liverpool’s new manager, Andoni Iraola, who was appointed in June to take over from Arne Slot.
