Cody Rhodes speaks on two names from WWE that could succeed if they were to enter the Street Fighter World Warrior tournament.

This week, the Street Fighter movie releases worldwide, with a cast that features several pro wrestlers, including WWE’s Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns playing Guile and Akuma respectively. The movie centers around competitors in a ‘World Warrior tournament’ as they fight to be crowned the best fighter.

While speaking to Brandon Davis in a new interview, Cody Rhodes was asked what WWE talent would fare best in a World Warrior tournament from Street Fighter.

“In a good old fashioned World Warrior Tournament? I think you really wanna go with the crafty. Who is in there? Do you have a guess? You got some parallels with a Blanka and a Jacob Fatu, just a madness. You’ve seen Jacob Fatu fire up. I think really you picked the right two guys though, if there was a World Warrior Tournament. Actually no, I stand corrected and you know this, World Warrior Tournament at WWE, Chad Gable. A shooter’s shooter.”

On this week’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Cody would punt Baron Corbin. You can read more about that here.
