Geno Smith throws for two TDs in Week 8 but falls short vs. Raiders

New York Jets QB Geno Smith completed 20 of 32 passes for 290 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in a Week 8 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. He also carried one time for four yards.

Why It Matters: Smith led the Jets to points on the first six drives for a 30-21 before the Raiders rallied, but the offense mostly stalled after that. His desperation heave into the end zone in the closing seconds was intercepted., accounting for the only blemish on his final line. Smith is not anyone's idea of a stable fantasy asset, but it is hard to argue that he hasn't played at a reasonably high level so far, throwing for 12 TDs against three interceptions so far. Unfortunately, he has his hands full being anything more than a middling QB2 in Week 9 against the Chiefs.
