Kenneth Walker puts Chiefs up 9-0 in first quarter

The bye week didn’t do anything to cool off Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker.

Walker sprinted for a 33-yard touchdown with 7:21 left in the first quarter to push the Chiefs to a 9-0 lead over the Chargers. Harrison Butker missed the extra point, so that’s where things remain with the ball heading back to the Chargers.

Walker now has seven touchdowns on the season and he has five carries for 55 yards on Sunday.

The Chiefs are playing without wide receiver Rashee Rice and Patrick Mahomes has been targeting Xavier Worthy often in the early part of the game. Worthy has four catches for 51 yards through two possessions.
