The Las Vegas Raiders will try to break their four-game losing streak. However, the New York Jets are in their way, hoping to extend the skid.
This Week 8 game will start a stretch of four road games in five weeks for the Raiders. Therefore, winning these away games will boost their chances of clinching a playoff berth.
According to the Football Database, the Raiders have won 27 of their 49 all-time matchups against the Jets. Two of those 49 ended in a tie, and the Raiders have won their last two meetings.
As the Raiders try to return to the winning track, an experienced broadcast crew will give their game against the Jets more life.
For the second week in a row, the FOX broadcast trio of Chris Myers, Jonathan Vilma, and Megan Olivi will be announce the Raiders matchup. The trio was assigned to their Week 7 matchup with the Rams as well.
Myers, the game’s play-by-play announcer, is an Emmy Award-winning sportscaster who has also covered NASCAR, Major League Baseball, Premier Boxing Champions, and the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. In addition to calling NFL games, he also hosts FOX’s pre and postgame studio coverage for MLB.
Meanwhile, Vilma is a former NFL linebacker who will serve as the analyst for Raiders vs. Jets. This former University of Miami standout is a three-time Pro Bowler who has won Super Bowl 44 with the New Orleans Saints. He was also a college football analyst and also previously worked at ESPN/ABC.
Finally, Olivi will be the game’s sideline reporter. She has also contributed as a host and interviewer for UFC coverage. The Seton Hall and Fordham alum has been a sideline reporter for NFL on FOX since 2018.
