Strahinja Pavlovic’s renewal is all done pending the official announcement, but AC Milan plan to get two more extensions done.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) recall that Pavlovic was at Casa Milan on Tuesday afternoon to sign his new contract, one that will bind him to Milan until 2031, with a further one-year option in the club’s favour.
With this extension, the Rossoneri’s ‘renewal plan’ kicks into gear. Gerry Cardinale and the management are aiming to lock down other key players like Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot in the coming weeks.
Pavlovic’s contract extension will be made official today. This is an important renewal considering the Serbia is a key asset for Ruben Amorim. Regardless of whether it is a three or a four-man defence, the former RB Salzburg star is in the line-up.
As mentioned, the hope and the belief at Casa Milan is that the centre-back’s signature will be the first of at least three, as it’s no secret that one of Cardinale’s priorities is to secure several key players as soon as possible.
After Pavlovic, Pulisic and Rabiot are expected to be next on the list. The American’s contract expires on June 30th, but there’s a one-year renewal option that protects the club. The Frenchman’s contract expires in 2028, and he also has the option of a 12-month extension.
For these two renewals, Cardinale will once again be the one to personally reach an agreement with both players. Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s contracts also expire in 2027, but to date there are no indications of a possible contract renewal with Milan.
