Anthony Gordon gave his thoughts on a 4-2 loss for Barcelona against Paris Saint-Germain.
The hosts took the lead in the French capital through a well-taken finish from Désiré Doué. Xavi Espart equalised for Barça as he broke through the inside right channel, but PSG would prove their superior athletic and technical quality with their response in an entertaining final twenty minutes.
Lucas Hernandez headed home from a corner, then Vitinha put his side back in the lead for a third time on the evening to cancel out a Lamine Yamal leveller before Fabián Ruiz wrapped up the win.
The La Liga leaders have scored 48 goals in their first 11 fixtures across all competitions, and they are hungry to get their first Champions League crown since 2015.
However, they could not make a statement on Tuesday evening at the Parc des Princes as they suffered a familiar feeling against PSG.
The Blaugrana were beaten 2-1 in the same phase of the tournament last October by the defending champions at Camp Nou, and they were again shown the level required to be the top team in Europe.
"I think it was quite predictable this match was going to be high scoring. Everyone knew there would be goals, but I was hoping we'd come out on top. They deserved it.
“They were the better team, with the better quality. Athletically, they were able to sustain the pressure better than we were. They have been the team to beat for 2 years, and they are the best still.
"We have to be better. We have to become the team to beat.
"I don't think I was good, like the whole team. I think we want to perform better. I was not at my best. The good thing is that this is a league stage match. It's not a final.
"We can get the chance to beat them in a later round."
