The entire professional wrestling world was rocked by the passing of AEW star Pac, real name Benjamin Satterley, just after AEW All Out 2026, an event where the star wrestled for the AEW National Championship. In the days that followed, many wrestlers he worked with, including in WWE, shared their memories of him.
WWE released a YouTube video of various talents pouring their hearts out and sharing more. Cody Rhodes, who worked with Satterley in both companies, told WrestleTalk during an interview that it was one of Satterley's close friends, Kevin Owens, who set up the camera at a TV taping for the stars to share their grief .
"He had a camera set up for all of us to go speak to, if we wanted to speak about Ben," Rhodes said. "I thought long and hard about, 'What's my relationship there?' Because we weren't, you know, incredibly great friends, but if you look at your career and you look over across the ring at these milestones, SummerSlam at Barclays Center, and to have the 'Arrow' crossover match, and there he is. There's Ben. Then you look at my time away and being one of the OGs when AEW started and there's Ben. I'm looking through our texts and you start to think, 'Wow, we were married to each other at one point during live events when it was Stardust vs. Neville.'"
Rhodes said that he never met another wrestler who knew himself more than Satterley, which he called "intimidating" as he tried to figure out who he was as both a person and an on-screen character. Rhodes said that he is a better human, a wrestler, and storyteller for having known and learned from him.
