USC men’s basketball wraps up exhibition slate with victory over SDSU

It was a disastrous weekend for Lincoln Riley and USC football. However, it was a much better one for Eric Musselman and the Trojans’ men’s basketball team.

On Friday, USC played its final preseason exhibition game on the road at San Diego State. The Trojans left San Diego with a victory, defeating the Aztecs 85-68.

Rodney Rice led the Trojans with 23 points and five assists. Alijah Arenas recorded a double-double, putting up 22 points and 12 rebounds while also adding four assists. In addition, Jacob Cofie recorded 13 points and five assists.

USC’s exhibition slate is now complete, with Eric Musselman’s team going 2-1 in their preseason contests. The Trojans are set to open the 2026-2027 regular season this coming Monday at Galen Center against Milwaukee.
