Has kept a clean sheet in two of his last three away games and is part of the third best defence in the National League so far this season.

Such a key part of how Town play. Is so often the target for balls out from the back such is his aerial ability, while his enthusiasm and commitment levels are fantastic.

Might have been unclear at the start of the season whether he, Bardell or Mackenzie Maltby would partner Shaun Hobson at the back but surely no-one could disagree with Flint being at the head of the queue now.

Some Town fans might feel he's looked a little shaky compared to last season but for me, there's no better defender in the squad when he's on form, and he's playing very well at the moment.

Some Halifax fans might also have been unsure about Conte being first-choice left-back given he was unable to hold down a regular place for relegated Morecambe last season, but there can't be any doubters left now. He's been outstanding.

The heartbeat of the team. Will surely be on the radar of a few clubs in January, and it would be such a shame to see him go were he to leave.

Just keeps getting better. Love the way he stamps his authority on games in midfield but he's going to have a big task doing that on Saturday against one of the best midfields in the division.

Tough call over whether he or Tommy McDermott starts on the right on Saturday, but Douglas is in good form at the moment so it would feel harsh to leave him out.

That also applies to Allen, so you'd imagine Zak Gilsenan will start on the bench.

Quite simply one of the first names on the team sheet and one of the early contenders for player of the season based on what we've seen so far.

Was excellent against South Shields in the FA Cup, great to see him scoring twice. Another who is vital to how Town play.
