Citing dizziness, light-headedness, Billy Horschel WD's from Mexico Open
Billy Horschel hits his tee shot on the 10th hole during the third round of the Baycurrent Classic 2026 at Yokohama Country Club.

Billy Horschel withdrew from the first round of the VidantaWorld Mexico Open on Thursday after six holes.

Horschel cited dizziness and feeling lightheaded, the Golf Channel reported. Horschel, a former FedEx Cup champion, was 4 over when he called it quits and drove off in a golf cart for the clubhouse.

Horschel entered the week at No. 94 in the FedEx Cup Fall standings. He's made 17 cuts in 27 starts this season but recorded just one top-10 finish.

He told Golfweek recently that he was hoping to secure a good enough finish in Mexico so he could take the rest of the fall off but he likely will need to consider adding at least one more event to his schedule if he hopes to remain in the top 100.

The 39-year-old Horschel is an eight-time Tour winner. He opened his round at Vidanta Vallarta with four bogeys in the six holes he played before withdrawing.
