Daniel Farke has announced that Joe Rodon has returned to training with Leeds United, albeit in a controlled manner, while another player faces a race against time to face Bournemouth on Saturday.
Having drawn their last two games, Leeds United will be looking to return to winning ways when they lock horns with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, 31 October. The last time the Elland Road outfit made the trip, the game ended in a 2-2 draw with all four goals coming in the second half. Sean Longstaff scored a late equaliser for Farke’s side.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth appear to have found their feet under Marco Rose, having won each of their last five games across competitions, including high-profile victories over Manchester United and AC Milan. What makes the run even more impressive is that the Cherries have scored 14 goals and conceded none during that run.

Farke addressed the media ahead of making the tricky trip down south, with the press conference opening with injury updates on Joe Rodon and Anton Stach. While the German tactician revealed that Rodon has returned to light training, there are doubts around Stach.
Meanwhile, Farke revealed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor have trained normally after their recent niggles. Similarly, Nico Elvedi has also returned to full fitness, meaning he is available for the trip to Bournemouth. He said:
Nico [Elvedi] is way way better, he’s back in training. Also, available for this game. It was a good training week for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor. They had a normal training week. Seems that nothing else there, so fully available. Anton Stach is struggling still a bit with his foot injury, so let’s see. I hope it will get better in the next 48 hours. That’s a bit of a question mark. And also some good news with Joe Rodon. For the first time, since yesterday, he’s part-integrated back in team training. So next steps in this rehab right now. Right now, he just needs session after session after being out for so long, but way better situation than it was last week.
All eyes will now be on the Vitality Stadium, as Leeds United look to bring an end to Bournemouth’s formidable five-game winning streak.
