The Los Angeles Rams lost more than Sunday's game to the Arizona Cardinals. They also lost wide receiver Davante Adams for an extended period of time.
Sean McVay told reporters on Sunday that Adams will be out 6-10 weeks after rupturing his hamstring late in the fourth quarter. The injury occurred on the Rams' second-to-last offensive play while Adams was running a route in the end zone. It was a non-contact injury, sending Adams to the sideline for the final snap on offense.
Adams had three catches for 39 yards in the loss. Through six games, he has 30 catches for 480 yards and four touchdowns. He led the NFL in touchdown receptions last season, scoring 14 times in his first year with the Rams.
Adams stepped up in a big way while Puka Nacua was out for two games with a hip injury, going over 100 yards against the Giants and Broncos.
He dominated the Giants with eight catches and 195 yards and two touchdowns before coming back with 137 yards agianst the Broncos the following week, torching Pat Surtain II throughout the night.
Adams has played at least 14 games each season since 2020, but he's likely to snap that streak this year. If he misses the low end of McVay's estimate, it would put him in line to finish the year with 11 games played.
