FC Barcelona have officially announced their 22-man squad for the upcoming La Liga Matchday 8 clash against Getafe.

The Catalans will host Jose Bordalas’ side at Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday, October 10, looking to maintain their perfect start across competitions after the international break.

The biggest news from the announcement is the return of Joan Garcia, who has received medical clearance and is available for selection, as per the official Barcelona statement.

The Spanish goalkeeper missed Barcelona’s previous league fixture against Sevilla due to a knee injury, but his recovery comes at an important time for Flick.

His availability provides Barcelona with a significant boost between the posts as they prepare to face a physically demanding Getafe side.

Eric Garcia has also returned to the squad after experiencing discomfort while representing Spain during the international break.

The defender returned early from international duty but has recovered in time to be considered for selection.

His availability gives Flick another option in defence as Barcelona look to maintain their defensive stability.

However, Barcelona will still be without several important players.

Club captain Raphinha has not recovered sufficiently from the injury he sustained while representing Brazil and will miss the encounter.

Frenkie de Jong has resumed training but is not yet ready to return to competitive action.

Joan Garcia, Wojciech Szczesny and Dominik Livakovic provide the goalkeeping options, while Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsi, Alejandro Balde, Joao Cancelo and Eric Garcia strengthen the defensive department.

In midfield, Pedri, Gavi, Fermin Lopez, Dani Olmo, Marc Bernal and Rodrigo are among the available options.

The attacking department includes Lamine Yamal, Gabriel Jesus, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and Hamza Abdelkarim, giving Flick several possibilities as he finalises his starting lineup.

Flick will now have to decide whether the goalkeeper is ready to immediately reclaim his place in the starting lineup as Barcelona look to resume their campaign with another victory.
