Alex Scott is going to be moving to a top club soon – and some reports say that could happen as soon as January.

It’s an open secret at this point that Chelsea want to sign Alex Scott from Bournemouth.

The midfielder has gradually built his reputation, and now has all of the league’s top clubs chasing him. The fact his contract ends at the end of next season is also ramping up the pressure.

Until now we have dismissed the rumours of a potential January move – but recent Sky Sports reports are making us doubt that conviction a little.

Bournemouth are struggling in the league, but the fact they want to cash in to the greatest possible extend on their starlet could force their hand according to a report from Sky Sports.

They say that the Cherries would start listening to offers around £80m “if they’re practically safe from relegation.”

Well, given they haven’t won a game yet, they certainly won’t be in that position by January.

Of course the injury that the 23 year old picked up on England duty won’t help either – he is expected to miss at least a month. But once he’s back, as the calendar hits December, things could start to get really spicy.

In other news…

Estevao has not played much this season – but Chelsea could give him a new contract to keep him happy.

Chelsea’s new shirt sponsor is just for the season – but the company represented has already made it clear they’re considering a longer deal.

Xabi Alonso is “building something special” at Chelsea, according to pundit John Obi Mikel.
