Obviously, it's been well-documented that Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James is using a helicopter to commute between Philadelphia and living in New York. There have been videos of him using the helicopter after practice and there have been questions about him using it.

The biggest question is whether it's OK for James to use it. The helicopter is owned by Fanatics, which is owned by former Sixers minority owner Michael Rubin, and the helicopter is provided to James through his endorsement with Fanatics. It does not violate any NBA rules as he and the Sixers move forward.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver hopped on "The Pat McAfee Show" and commented on James and the helicopter:

He has a deal with Fanatics. It's perfectly appropriate if part of his deal is they're gonna supply a helicopter to him as long as it's just a deal between the Fanatics and LeBron and no team is involved, there's no rules issue there whatsoever.

Obviously, the James commuting to and from Philadelphia in a helicopter story is an interesting one, but James is not the first Sixer to play for the team and live in New York. JJ Redick lived in Brooklyn while playing for the Sixers and Wilt Chamberlain lived in Manhattan while playing for the Philadelphia Warriors. It's different, but it's not a big deal.
