The FC Barcelona sensation reached the historic milestone at just 19 years and 113 days old. In doing so, he leaves an illustrious roll-call of European greats in his wake. Beyond overhauling Kylian Mbappe, the teenager has pulled clear of Erling Haaland, who netted 10 times, Tom Blanker and Patrick Kluivert (seven apiece), Zoran Filipovic, Raul Gonzalez, Karim Benzema and Jude Bellingham (six each), as well as Ismo Lius (five).

Mbappe compiled his haul during his formative years with Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco, having arrived at Real Madrid well beyond his 20th birthday. Similarly, the Norwegian marksman amassed his impressive return across lethal spells with Borussia Dortmund and Salzburg.
